Free Time for Fun

May 31st, 2006

Do You Know “What Time It Is”?

Here’s a link to a website that’s probably one of William Drayton, Jr.’s (Flavor Flav) favorites.  It provides the official time in all of the time zones in the United States, so you’ll always know “What time it is”. You can use it to set all of your clocks, VCR’s, DVD players, etc. in your home to the absolute correct time by the Official U.S. Atomic Clock operated by The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Fort Collins, Colorado.

It also has a map that shows you the light/dark meridians all around the world at that particular time.  Nothing big, just fun and free.

Enjoy,

Free email…AND a Dirt Cheap Domain Name

May 28th, 2006

Well, I realized that when I was plugging Wordpress (http://wordpress.org/) in a previous post, that I was maybe getting a little ahead of myself. You do need a website in order to use the software version of Wordpress, although you can use the online version at http://wordpress.com instead. But if you’ve always thought it would be fun to have your own website, there is a nearly free way to get one.

This site will register your domain name AND give you free website space with up to 100 free email addresses…all for less than 2 bucks a month!

I recommend this fabulous service that gives you a FREE web site - FREE web tools - FREE web hosting - FREE e-mail when you register a Web Address (i.e. domain name) of your choice. This is the ultimate web package to tell family, friends and business associates the latest happenings. They will show you how building a web site - and it’s fun and easy. Get your own Web Address now with a low price and satisfaction guarantee at DomainNameSanity.com. I know you will find the service to be excellent, since I used this for my first web site, and still use it for my personal site.

I’m still waiting for an email with some more info on that free $50 deal from one website, but I’ll post something as soon as I receive a reply.

Enjoy,

Freebie Jack

Find Yourself for Free

May 28th, 2006

Here’s something that’s just fun to do, and its free for everyone.  The link below is to the beta test version of the Live/Local online satellite maps.  You simply put in an address, or a name, (like Wal-Mart, Starbucks, etc.) or a category (like restaurants) and it will show you a satellite view with addresses for a given area.  It has zoom functions, personal tags, and a “scratchpad” to keep your personal info, and it remembers you the next time you go there.

Its a great web based resource.  Resolution isn’t perfect for less populated areas, but you can zoom in very tight in larger cities, and in some areas, like Manhattan, you can even get street level views.  These are sort of like being in a low flying airplane, and the detail is great.  This is an internet freebie that will probably be around for a while.  Give it a try at;

Free Internet Business-in-a Box

May 27th, 2006

Absolutely free Internet Business in a Box!  No catch!  This guy does want you to sign up for his “newsletter” (which actually isn’t too bad), but you can cancel as soon as the first one hits your Spam Box, if you want to.

So, who else wants to grab this Internet Business-In-A-Box?

It seems incredible that you can get all of this info free…but for a very limited time as part of a marketing test,
Shawn Casey will give you his Internet Business-In-A-Box
that retails for $497. That’s right. Your cost is
zero…zip…zilch.  Honest!

Go here now to grab your gratis copy of his Internet
Business-In-A-Box before this limited test ends:

Also, I’ve got a lead on a quick $50 deal for everyone.  I’m talking about YOU getting 50 bucks in about 2 minutes, with nothing to buy, and no catch or hassles.  I’ll post again once I’ve checked it out and have all of the details.

Enjoy,

Fun Stuff That’s Free for You

May 27th, 2006

 Well, I’m always on the lookout for free (or cheap) stuff online, especially if it’s fun, easy to do, and there’s no “catch” to doing it.  So this blog is to fill everyone in on all of this stuff, as I find it.

To start out with, for all of you who are still using online services for your blog, you really should check out Wordpress, which is what this blog is written in. It’s free, it’s easy to install on your website, and it’s easy to use, too!  Just follow the “wp” link at the bottom of this page, or click here http://wordpress.org/ to download it.  There are hundreds of different templates you can download, as well.  To see some of the best ones, just follow this link;

 http://www.alexking.org/software/wordpress/theme_browser.php

I’ll probably rotate a few different ones on this page as I go along, until I find one I like.

I’ll be adding some more links to other free stuff on the menu bar, as I go, so look it over for changes.  If you like free, fun stuff, and you want it to be easy to get, just pop back here and check out the freebies.
